Tips for Eating Healthier

At the start of every year, there is such a large focus on our health & fitness. That is obviously great, however, the only problem with that is sometimes we can put too much pressure on ourselves to follow new healthy meal plans that after some time, we "fall off the bandwagon" so to speak. So, today I’m giving you easy tips for healthier eating!

Cook at home more. Food delivery services are popping up everywhere, so it’s almost TOO easy to order takeout more. But, cooking meals at home means you know exactly what is going into them and you’re more in control of what you’re eating.

Drink water. Dehydration can mess with your body, so make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and eating hydrating foods each day!

Add protein to your plate. Protein helps to give your body energy and to keep you feeling full for longer. Plus, protein can help with muscle development.

Mix up the fruits and vegetables you eat. Try to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables, instead of eating the same thing every day. That way you can take in a variety of vitamins and minerals.

Look for healthier substitutes. Try snacking on veggie sticks instead of crackers, or switch to natural nut butter instead of high-salt varieties. Small swaps can make a big difference. Also, know what you are eating. If you go out to eat, know what

Focus on nutrient-packed foods. Maximise your nutrients intake by using more foods with high levels of vitamins and minerals!

Use herbs and spices for flavor. You can avoid adding artificial flavors, salt and sugar to meals simply by using more natural flavourings, such as spices instead!
