Lemon Water Truths

We’re all always looking for those easy tricks to improve our lives, and about a year ago, I found one: Drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning. And I’m talking, within 15-30 minutes of getting up.

As far as routine goes, its pretty simple. Every week I buy about four lemons. Then, every morning when I get up I put water in the tea kettle, and while it’s getting hot, I cut one lemon in half and squeeze half of it into a tea cup. In the meantime I drink a normal glass of water, but once the tea kettle is warm, I pour the hot water into the tea cup. I let it sit for a few minutes to cool off, then I drink up! I save the other half of the lemon that was unused for the next day, and then repeat.

Now I have been doing this for about a year, maybe longer. What I have noticed thus far:

1. Digestion. My digestion improved immensely! Not to get graphic but, if you’re having trouble pooping, warm water and lemon might just be the thing for you. It truly gets everything moving. 2. Metabolism. Not long after I have this special concoction I feel more energized and I feel a bit hungry. I can feel that my metabolism definitely gets the boosts it needs with this and can see how it may aid with weight loss. 3. Skin Glow. With all the vitamin C in lemons, your skin reaps the benefits. Vitamin C assists in the production of collagen, so having more in your diet will help you get the glow your looking for. 4. Immune System. The power of vitamin C is so great. I have noticed that since I have been doing this morning routine, along with a few other things, my immune system has been great. My husband says I have a body of steel because I rarely get a cold or get sick.

No doubt their are other health benefits, but those are the main ones that I have noticed. So don’t be shy, drink up!
