Although I am more of a smoothie fan, juicing comes with its benefits. Juicing extracts the juice from fresh fruits and vegetables. The resulting liquid contains most of the vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals. It has amazing healing benefits because for once juice, you can add SO many fruits and vegetables as opposed to a smoothie. Eating a primarily plant-based diet is linked to lower risk of heart disease, stroke and some cancers. But studies show that only one in 10 Americans gets their daily recommended 5-7 servings of vegetables and fruit. Juicing is a fun and easy way to add more fresh produce to your diet.
